Hi ladies,

Just pondering,

Do you think ladies with endo have had it all our lives or from period age, or from anytime our symptoms started??????!

I don't know about all my life but....my period began aged 11, the pain then was bad but it became significantly worse when I was around 14/15 and continued pretty much the way it is now (with periods of no pain usually after surgery lasting up to 5 years).

I'm 42 now and don't honestly see this ending; I had my uterus and both ovaries removed aged 31 and although it had a good impact with no pain for about 3/4 years, inevitably it returned.

Hi Tracy, I started my periods at age 8 but started showing symptoms by age 14-15.

I had no symptoms until I came off the pill last year.  I honestly don't know how ladies cope with years and years of pain, I have only been suffering for a few months and have had enough :-( x

If I looked back over the years I've always suffered ibs problems and heavy periods but never put it to endo but my symptons got progressively worse after stopping the pill. 🙈😢

I only started having symptoms just over a year ago and was diagnosed with endo last December. I am 36 and have had two children. My youngest is 4 and was born by c-section and there was no evidence of endometriosis at that time. I had always been on the pill from age 16 until after my second daughter was born so perhaps that had been preventing the endo growing or perhaps stopping the pill was the trigger that started the endo.
