26+ week wait for op, how depressing

Been told the wait is 26+ weeks and getting worse, it's depressing this slog isn't it, I used to dream about winning the lottery, now I just dream of a normal pain-free day from start to finish

Same here, who needs money when your not well enough to go spend it, I've just been told another 12 weeks wait on top of the 10 already waited, and having to cancel holiday just in case, it's very depressing, x

Keep going to your doctor and ringing and trying to highlight referral to be seen quicker. I rang they told me I had to wait but then was called a lot earlier than expected X good,luck

My consultant said he could operate as soon as I needed him to but when it came down to it they couldn't. I've been told by the bookings team May, then it was June and now they are looking at July. I've contacted my consultant directly and they are now putting on some pressure but with bed shortages and the junior doctors strikes I'm not holding my breath. Trying to juggle pain, exhaustion and work is getting harder as the weeks pass, I've now got a fit for work certificate from the GP which allows me to work from home more- I'm hoping this helps.
