Advice please - bleeding and mirena coil.

Morning, hope everyone is well.

Just wantedsome advice, will try keep in brief.

So I had the coil fitted Dec 2014 and my periods were light and regular initially. Then I had about 6 months of BV and PID. Once it hit the year mark these infections stopped but now I'm bleeding more than I'm not. I can bleed for anything between 10-22 days and will have 2 weeks not bleeding maximum. I have been for all std and swab checks - clear. I can't take oral contraception as it really impacts on my mental health.

Basically I know that all this bleeding is not good for endo and my nurse specialist says there isn't much I can do due to me refusing oral contraception. I don't know if I should just put up with this or have the coil removed?

I think I am starting to get bowel symptoms as there have been a few occasions with pain when going to the loo too.

Thanks in advance

X
