I was prescribed 500mg of naproxen twice a day when i was diagnosed. It didnt work for me but what you have described is mor ethan likely a side effect, i am now on amitriptyline 25mg  to take once a day every day. The first time i tpok that my glands swelled up etc, but i still took (prob shouldnt of) but now i still take it, my glands dont swell but i get a dry mouth constantly from it. Depending on how bad your glands swelled i'd probably stop taking it and try something else x
