Hello,

This is the first time I have posted in here, just hitting a brick wall with the doctors and after some advice. I had my lap surgery a year next month, and now my symptoms have come back really strong and the doctors are now suggesting it may have grew back. How often does this happen? As during surgery they found some of my organs had fused together but they had separated them, they have now diagnosed me with IBS also, just feel as though there trying to blame it on other reasons and not actually looking into the endo growing back. How do I go about getting them to listen to me?

Thanks girls!

Cory

If you are not already being seen by a specialist at a bsge centre, please ask for a refferal from your gp, good luck

Hi was your lap done by a general gynaecologist? If so its more likely they missed some. I agree with Tboag go back to GP and ask for a referral to a BSGE specialist. If you look on the BSGE website you can find one near you and ask for that one. Good luck.

Hi, Cory! I'm afraid you cannot influence much on their point of view. If you wanna get any other independent thought then you should change docs. Even if it's your surgeon fault or someone's else who was involved in the process they're not likely to say straight - well, these are we, who didn't treat you properly..eekk

But the case with endo return is also possible. It happens even more often than we think, unfortunately. So, probably finding another reasons for your condition worsening is of no use. Let your docs say the last word. If it doesn't satisfy you then go straight to another specialist. This is what I think will be the best for you. Not only to ease the pain but also put your mind at rest as you cannot trust them any more.

I wish this all could end for you quickly. And life bringing you satisfaction, joy and happiness.

Hugs, dear Xx
