laparoscopy

I'm getting a lap on friday and if they find the endo they said they would use lasers to get it out. I'm just wondering would there be a larger wound? I'm just not wanting to wake up expecting two small cuts and seeing a giant line or something. Also would recovery time be any longer?

It is normally all done laparoscopically so you should have two or three small incisions.

The best treatment for endo is excision not laser, ask your consultant if he will be using excision,

Hi, I had my lap on Friday and although I don't know what method was the used I know the endo was removed and I have 3 small incisions, one in my belly button and one a few inches above each hip bone, so no great big wounds don't worry yourself. good luck! Xx

Oh I didn't no that, so a laser cuts out from root as well as just from surface, like shaving, is that correct?

Thank you for all the replies ^-^
