Hiya,

After lap i was told I have it on my bladder and this didn't show on mri however I also have recto-vaginal nodule which did show up something on mri.

Have you had your results now? X

Yes I've had results from MRI and nothing's shown up, at my last lap I had a nodule and in was on uterosacral ligaments but I was seen in general gyne, I'm starting to feel it's on bladder, I'm now going on prostap until lap witch should be in 3 months

Xxx

Hi,

I had rectoviginal nodule found on lap and not on MRI and was attached to bowel... Consultant seemed suprised that it was not seen on my MRI.. My MRI showed a very healthy looking female organs which was in fact not the truth...

Lap is defo the way to go! They where concerned I had it on my bladder due to pelvic pain when urinating and frequent UTIs so the also did a cystoscopy and found no endo effecting my bladder but they found cystitis present deep in my bladder so I am now on preventative antibiotics for at least 3 months to see if that stops bladder issues..

Thanks girls, I'm just getting myself confused again, the only thing that showed up was a thickening to the vaginal lining, which he said could be endo, but he was a little surprised by it, nit sure why

I think it's sometimes down to the person that's looking at the MRI results and if they know what to look for. I think they expected to find the recto-vaginal endo as it showed up, although a sigmoidoscopy came back clear as did the hysteroscopy and cystoscopy.

On my release letter it says I have a bulky lining too and he said that could be adenomyosis.

I had my first lap back in 2009 under a general gynea, he found a nodule of endo on my bladder and said he removed it, but didn't say by what means.

I've since been getting seen to by BSGE centre and feel they know their stuff so much more. I had my second lap done (which was purely exploratory) on 20 Jan where they found all of the above, I'm also on Prostap until I can get an operation date with my gynae and the bowel specialist to do a bowel resection and for him to remove all the endo and adhesions.

Good luck with everything xx

Thank you for your reply,

I'm thankfully with a BSGE centre now, and I too had Adenomyosis, which I had a hysterectomy for last July,

I havnt had anything in writing from MRI scan, but my consultant read it and said he can't see anything about from, the thickening to the vagina lining, not sure what that means,
