Bowl prep

So I have to do a bowl prep for the first time tomorrow and I'm so scared of the pain of going to the toilet so much and also because my muscles still ache substantially from my excision surgery 6 months ago and I'm worried about the pain and indigestion I will experience after. Has anyone gone through this or have any tips. Thanks

It's tough, especially when you can't eat so you'll also have hunger pains! But the good thing is the hunger pains/constant loo breaks, will distract you from the procedure.

It feels like the day will never end but trust me, you'll be back to normal soon and in a few days you'll barely remember it.

I took picolax last month before my lap. And it said I would "experience loose stools" and there is no nice way of saying this but I had no stools, it was literally like a waterfall. Which kept coming for about 10 to 15 minutes.

I would recommend baby wipes. Because toilet paper can be rough.

The first laxative took 4 hours to work, but once it all stops you shouldn't feel bad/rough. I felt hungry and drained of what little energy I had.

I thankfully didn't get sick, but I felt sick. So have a bucket just in case.

And afterwards, put your feet up in front of the telly or with a good book

Haha I remember taking the first one and complaining it wasn't working. I soon regretted that!

Like a waterfall! Haha. I'm doing my bowel prep for my lap tomorrow right now and this made me giggle. It's just water coming out...
