Gosh, can't imagine what it's like long term. I usually get cramps and bloating but this is a whole new level! What do you do to help manage the pain?

One thing that did help me was a warm bath ,then hot water bottle on tummy

Thank you! I honestly didn't think of a bath! Sorting out a bath as we speak now, pain killers are kicking in too so hopefully it'll get better!

It's really horrid :(

I'm trying to put off a fourth surgery but I'm still in so much pain. My doc has me on Neurontin sted of painkillers, which r the only thing that works.

Hot water bottle! I take tramadol on a night and codeine through the day but not all the time, just when I'm desperate as then I don't get used to it. Hot water bottle is my best tip but seems you're there with it now. Good luck! It's certainly a new way of living the weekends...! X

Good tips! I have one of those microwaveable bear things which are a good send! Thank you, seems to see a lot less painful today, which is an improvement!

I take tramadol paracetamol when pain is really bad plus doctor put me on amyitriptline on a night and usually helps but I usually use hot water bottle when pain is really bad which is almost every day

How r u feeling now? Any better? I go to a&e when I get serious flare up pain. It's totally unbearable isn't it? Well a boiling hot hot water bottle is an absolute essential. I take paracetamol, tramadol, buscopan too. Xx

Feeling better, thanks for asking :)

I'm dosed up on paracetamol and ibruprophen but my insides just feel bruised (which is really weird!) and I'm just tired today.

Hot beany thing worked a treat whilst the painkillers kicked in. Good shout on buscopan, I remember been advised to take them when on my period! Xx

Oh bless ya, can totally sympathise. Past few weeks I have been house bound with chronic pains across abdomen/tummy, over right hip, across lower back, shotting pain down right leg and down buttock. Wednesday had a really bad attack where nearly passed out and then whole body uncontrollably shaking and I wasn't even cold..not to mention the nausea! Went to the Dr's yesterday who rung the hospital saying I should go in but the hospital turned around and said "she knows she has endo, what more can we do?" !! Disgusting!! The lovely nurse practitioner at the drs was fab and said she would try pain manage it with Naproxen but if have another attack like wednesday or get worse I am to go to A and E and tell them she said so!

So like the other s say it a case of painkillers, hot water bottles and trying grit our way through it like normal!! Hope yours eases soon x x

Oh gosh, you sound like you're having a really bad spell :( shame on the hospital too, that's so terrible and the last thing you want to hear!! I hope your pain starts easing soon :(

I think that's the worst thing about this, there really isn't much else besides painkillers and a hot water bottle!

It was my first bad episode, usually it's around my period and I mentally prepare myself for the pain but since having the coil, I don't have periods so this was totally out of the blue! I could barely walk or move, it was quite scary to be honest. Xx

Bless you, thank you x x x

Apologies for my delay in responding not been great and Ended up being taken to A&E! Was there for over 9 hours, was told I was being admitted and sent to surgery ward due to an issue with my bowel but was waiting for a bed to become available. I was terrified and worried that my endo on my bowel was that bad it been causing all this.

3hr wait later went up to surgical ward. By time got up there, I sent my husband home as nothing else he could do. Nurses settled me in. Then surgeon came and assessed me. Then basically said "don't know why you been sent here. Yes bloods showing infection. Xray showing loop in bowel. But that common and needs no surgery. You can go home." So I had to ring my husband to come back! I asked if endo causing it all. "Could be. Who knows." Asked if it the irregular cyst I have on my right ovary which been there since April..again he had no answer. Just said, "you prob have a virus. But infection can show in bloods if you have endo." Wouldn't give me any pain relief to take back home, despite A&E had been giving me Orimorph.

So I am back home, just trying to cope with it all. I not as bad as was. I am no longer constantly shaking uncontrolably. But still not great. Worse I have been for a very long time. Hoping it can return back to its normal. Which is never great anyway, but at least I could occassionally get out to do food shop, or meet a friend for lunch. Just house bound and unable do anything at the mo.

Oh blooming heck I have rambled on!! Sorry!

Know what you mean about trying to be mentally prepared for an episode when you most expect it. Frustrating when our body decides to not be predictable and we get these episodes at any time, without warning. Doesn't help when you try and work out if you will be able to go do something or see someone that day next week or not as to where you are in the cycle. BUt if like me, it just all over the place, it makes it even harder!

I do hope your episode has subsided now and you don't get another, bless ya.

Again sorry for my ramblings x x

I take codeine but only when paracetamol hasn't touched the pain. My wheatee pack is constantly attached to me. But sometimes codeine doesn't help. I get really bad flare up when I shake uncontrollably and I'm freezing and could sleep. I get so emotional. I've gone to a ne a couple of times and have ended up on morphine all I get is we don't know everything is normal your healthy. It makes me so angry about the lack of understanding some doctors have. It's so frustrating because it's invisible pain 😨😥😦 I hope you don't have another episode they are horrible sending hugs x
