Peircing removal for op

Hey I'm waiting for a date of my laparoscopy but I'm just wondering do I need to take my piercings out for the op as I've got my tongue done and I worried it'll heal during the op time.

Oh and did anyone else have to have a pelvic and vaginal scan done before the laparoscopy

Thank you x

Yep remove piercings I imagine especially the tongue and belly piercing because they will be putting a tube down your throat whilst your under and obviously cut into your belly. It's worth it if you wanna feel better hope this helps good luck xx

Yea you have to remove all piercings and jewellery, I got told you can keep your wedding ring on if you REALLY want to but they cover it with tape.

And I didn't have any scans before hand sorry xx good luck! Xx

They are just trying to get an idea of what is going on in there before they go in...
