Does having a lap done give you more adhesions than you might already have ? There for is it worth having one if I want to try for children in a couple of years x

Yes you can get scar tissue leading to adhesions but these will likely be less problematic than leaving Endo adhesions etc in situ. It's only with multiple surgeries 4-10 that surgical adhesions start to become a bigger problem.

If you want to get preg have the lap - it will correct any anatomical abnormality caused by Endo, create a better environment for embryo implantation in the womb and hopefully reduce your pain levels and thus stress which aids conception x

Hey again,

What Lindle says is right - you need to be operated on by an Endo specialist - click on her profile and she has a post on how to do this. Here's a link to the list of Endo centres, should be one near you.

Soz I should have said this. My friend has had probs with adhesions - but mainly as she's had 10 laps with general gynae and was misdiagnosed for 13 years. Now she's finally having her 11th op with a specialist Endo surgeon.

Decision is up to you - if you are in a lot of pain, have irregular periods/bleeding etc etc I'd say go ahead. If you're over 30 I'd be proactive about it xx
