Hiiii, I'm not too sure about this one. I'm someone who doesn't only bleed once a month sometimes twice or more and sometimes more than 7days each. For me buying sanitary towels is hard and again I am one of them that need incontinence pads for this because it's just so heavy...yes it's the most embarrassing thing but it's just got to be done. For me the costs are too much too but on prescription £8.20 a pack can be cheaper but for the normal night time pads it's a bit much unless you're saying we get a bulk of quite a few packs for each prescription. It's not clear on the petition how many you'd expect to get on a prescription. Sorry to sound like a downer on something amazing you're trying to do for us all. But yes it's definitely a really very good idea.

Thanks :)

If you have a pre-payment card you pay something like £110 for 12 months and then the prescriptions are unlimited- so perhaps it would still work out cheaper for you?

Yes that would work out cheaper. But would that mean a visit to the doc each time you need a new bulk? Sorry for asking too many questions

No because it would just go on automatic repeat each month

Think this is a fantastic idea hun and i have signed for you. The number of pads issued would have to be discussed once the petition is handed in but i really hope this is successful as it would save us a fortune and many trips to the supermarket x good luck hun x

I've also signed it (I'm Lisa but have always been called Liz)! It makes so much sense. Not only do they have the cheek to charge VAT but they have absolutely no understanding (apparently) of the huge financial burden. Endo and other medically recognised illnesses where medication or investigations are required should automatically allow sufferers to be exempt. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter so can't share, but will be texting my friends to do so. Xx

My idea is that we get given a card, after a Discussion with our GP's about our needs etc. we then will pay the prescription charge once a month or if you have a prepayment card you will use that. Then we take our card into a pharmacy, who dispenses pads depending on our needs. So basically the prescription will be tailored to our own individual requirements.

Let me know what you guys think, again thank you!
