Hi Holly.

I myself have felt depressed since the rollercoaster of emotions after my gp called me in to tell me my ca125 was elevated. That was november 13th. I've felt really down. Hubby getting fed up of my negativiy and says I should be pleased the scans only showed fibroids and an endometrioma and not cancer.

I can't shake off the gloom. My head hurts like I've been crying and my period is 2 days early.

You're not alone x

Thankyou Sharon. It's nice to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. Are you on any antidepressants? I'm not sure if they'll help but I've been advised to take them.

Hi Holly I've suffered from depression most of my life. However I was diagnosed with severe endo and possible adenomyosis in July, started on Zoladex in September, which caused my depression to escalate to an extent that I wanted to kill myself. Had never felt so desperate in my life, I had also been off antidepressants for 8years previous. I'm now back on them. They take a good 3-4 weeks to have any real effect but they do help. They do have side effects though, but if you're on one and it is too bad it's worth trying a different one. It's trial and error until you find one that suits you. Also once you're feeling better don't just stop taking them as this can have serious side effects. So really talk to doctor first. Hope this is of help. If you need to know anything else just let me know .

Thankyou. I'm hoping they will help me. I'm really struggling with daily activities atm. I find it difficult to talk to my partner about it all too. Feel like I'm going on about it and I know he gets frustrated cos he wants to help but I can sometimes find it frustrates me. Thankyou for your honesty. Fingers crossed I will feel more like myself soon

Give the pills time to kick in and I'm sure you'll feel a lot better. I remember when I was diagnosed it was such a shock, even though I had known something was wrong from about the age of 15( now 42). It's a real roller coaster of emotions. You're not alone Hun . Don't forget if you to vent we're all here. Take care.

Hi Holly I am new to this site but have suffered from endo for about 17 years now. Had 2 major ops because of it.At first I was shocked to find out that I had a long term disease to deal with but so relieved that it was not cancer as they were unsure what the large cyst on my left ovary was. were all in this together on here, no ones alone and I think that's the first important thing that we need to hold on to. I know your taking anti depressants and if you think they are helping thats good but i'm just wondering if you have tried different forms of exercise. I find getting on my bike helps and having a run helps.
