Hi. How long is too long for breakthrough bleeding on the Mirena? I've had it in for four months and this month have been bleeding constantly for three weeks.

Some cramping too, but I do have adenomyosis.

I have also had a weird pain in my left arm since it was in was put and am wondering if there could be a connection...

I bleed constantly for close on 8 months, Endo excised in June. Problems worse than ever now I have been told I have adenomyosis, and a few other 'issues' including a mass (?) possibly fibroid or polyp but not diagnosed.

Had the mirena out a month ago, as my hair was coming out seriously badly, the consultant said it is 'a rare symptom' not sure if rare is true as read quite a bit.

I wish I hadn't persevered with mirena but sort of felt 'obliged' by consultant.

I literally had so many symptoms which varied almost week to week. Good luck whatever you decide to do but don't do what I did and leave it because I felt obliged :(
