Came home from hospital at lunchtime after lap yesterday, was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to sit up, get up/ sit down without it feeling like ripping my stitches!

I put my hands behind me and push myself forwards. Thats ok from sitting but from lying down roll onto your side first and then push yourself up with your hands. Or get someone else to help lol. It will only be a couple of days before it gets easier! X

I'd agree with rolling on your side but it's far easier if you've got someone to pull you up! I found things a lot easier after just a few days and now I'm moving around quite freely (Lap was last Tuesday). Hope you're up and about soon x

I agree with trying rolling on to your side. It should only be a couple of days before it becomes easier X

I also rolled on side when getting up from lying down and when sitting sat with cushions behind my back so I was really upright. This made it much easier to get up. Get well soon.x
