Time off work after lap
Hi frankie28,
It all depends on how you feel, don't push yourself to go back earlier than you are ready to, this can result in more time needed off. The time you have off also depends on what your job is, I was a care assistant when I had my ops and had up to 3-4 weeks off after a lap. Felt guilty about not going back sooner, but glad I took the time as you and your health are the important thing here.
Having been through numerous laps and a hysterectomy I have experience with time off work etc.
You can contact me you need a chat.

I had 3 weeks and would not have liked to try to go back before then x
I am due to go back weds - was signed off for two weeks. Was told I would need at least 2 weeks but I feel ready now. I do a desk job though and can work from home when needed. I originally was told (before the op) I would need a week, at the time, I thought I wouldn't need that and planned on going back after 5 days - boy was I wrong!! Having said that, my gynae did more work on me than originally anticipated
x
Just take each day as it comes, go back when you feel ready all laps are different and everyone recovers at a different pace!
Hi, I had two and a half weeks off and felt slightly tired on first two days back but felt great getting back to reality. Don't rush though, as everyone is different. I'm in an office job too with a very understanding female boss, whom has proved to be a great sense of support. You will know when you're ready. Good luck xx
