Hi does anyone else have problems with the blood smelling really strong?
When I am really heavy and losing clots I can smell myself and hate being around anyone in case they can smell me. I change the pads every hour and wash but the smell is still there ......

I am hypersensitive to smells, so I know what you mean. I can catch a whiff every once in a while and worry that others can smell me too. But they never do. BUT, i work with a woman that I can smell when she is on hers, and no one else seems to notice.
My partner says he can't smell me but I don't like him getting close to me in case he does smell me. It does make relationship hard when I bleed for couple weeks.
I have a hypersensitive nose too - I think we can smell things more acutely or strongly than the average person (or something like that). I can smell things that no one else seems to notice. It drives me crazy sometimes. I'm also extremely aware/conscious of my own smell. I have difficulty understanding what others can smell of me as I can smell all different smells off me (despite fastidious hygiene) and of course naturally assume everyone is smelling that too - but it seems not!
If your partner says he can't smell you then in all likelihood he can't.
I'm sure other people probably can't smell you like the others have said, but I too worry about this. I bought fem fresh wipes and these really make me feel better during the day. They do handbag size packs too so you can freshen up once you've changed your pad. Hope that might help xx
I definitely understand what you mean by smell!! I have a heavy bleeder, and it is just a completely different smell than just normal vagina smells!! I try not to use femfresh wipes or anything as my GP said it actually removes good bacteria, so i just shower and use normal warm water!
