Been up half the night in agony and then got thought in my head that what happens if they don't find anything - what's the next step??

Hi, I think we all think this before our 1st lap, and it's really weird because of cause we don't want anything wronge with us, but at the same point we do, because we need it to be dealt with, who is doing your lap?? A general gyne or have you managed to be seen y a bsge specialist,

Xxx

Just a general Gynae now wishing I had pushed to go to a specialist centre

Hi,

I had my lap around 6 weeks ago. I was diagnosed with endometriosis, after 8 years of fighting numerous doctors and consultants. (My problems started at 15, they said I was too young to have endo). So I know how frustrating it is to be in so much pain and being treated like you're 'making it up'. Hopefully your lap will go your way. Not really the right term to use but once you get a diagnosis you can look at treatments, I had my follow up with my consultant yesterday and am now trailing through the internet looking at the options I've been given and deciding which is best for me.

I had so many worries before my op, even thinking that they was right and I'd fought for nothing. Its normal to feel like that. But essentially you know your own body. Should the results come back in conclusive there is another diagnostic procedure, they do a biopsy of the womb lining. I'm not 100% on what they look for because its relatively new. But keep fighting until you get answers.

Not sure if this helped much but just want to wish you good luck.
