I've taken pain killers but they don't do anything

Hot water bottle does nothing

I can't get comfortable

So tired

Any advice or help? Please

This is an odd possible solution but it worked for me recently. Try lying on your back and elevating your legs with some pillows. I hate taking drugs so I was delighted when this helped reduce my pain.

OK if you are prepared to spend your life in that position???? Sorry but I find this answer plain absurd.

Note that I said 'possible'. I did not profess that this suggestion is a cure for pain but that it "helped reduce my pain".

You are entitled to your opinion but there is no need to be so rude and call my suggestion absurd. What does not work for you or interest you could help others as they try to find the treatment they deserve.

Thank you I'll give that a go. Only managed to get a couple of hours sleep last night. I think it might be due to my blocked and very swollen tubes.

Other than paracetamol I can't really take anything else as I'm about to start a round of IVF.

Good luck to you too, hope the new dose works

I too was up the majority of the night in pain and cold sweat...

I take the generic brand of Tylenol rapid release... I find that if you take them at the first sign of discomfort before it turns in to pain, that's the only thing that can properly manage and prevent really bad outburst of pain... Otherwise, if the pain has already started then I keep taking these pain killers until they work, but always making sure not to over doze. I do 4 capsules at a time, then add 1 or 2 about 45 mins in if the pain sharpness and intensity remains the same.

I hope you find some relief!!!

Well I was fine all yesterday morning and then it came back from lunchtime! Both your advice helped, I laid with both legs up in the air on the sofa and took tablets more regularly. As a result I actually slept last night. Please tell me that the operation to sort my tubes out will not help with this problem
