So I find myself needing surgery again to remove cysts/endometriomas, and treat my endometriosis. It's not even two years since I had my last surgery via laparotomy. Needless to say I'm a bit disillusioned with it all, as after my last surgery I was on GnRH for a year, which is supposed to slow growth.
This is going to be my 5th surgery since 2010! We are also trying to conceive and have been referred to the ACS. Has anyone else been referred and know how long it takes to be seen????
Rant over

Hiya, I have stage 4 endo. I've had many surgeries this isn't first time unfortunately. I have endo at pouch of Douglas, which is a pain in the ass, no pun intended lol. Unfortunately with my previous surgeries they can't remove the cysts on the ovaries without removing them, so they just drain them. This is probably why they keep refilling.
I have been referred to a new surgeon this time, who is supposed to be the best in Scotland at laparoscopic work. But I have been told my MRI shows my condition to be just as bad as previously and I had to be opened up for that.
I'm fighting a losing battle and have been told I will need a hysterectomy before in 40.
My new surgeon is Robert Hawthorn and I've only heard good things about him. It's my last chance to try to conceive so I really need them to do something!! And I'm sick of the hormone therapy so I'll be refusing any offer of that again as it messes up my migraines. X
