I had laposcopic surgery. Feb.17th and discharge on Feb. 23rd 2015. I haven't had a bowel movement yet. But pass gas out. Sometimes I have blood come out of my butt. Is that normal. After having surgery. And they also took my appendix out too.

Firstly congratulations on the loss of your bag! 😊 in my experience, It is normal to have some blood. but just make sure you give yourself plenty of time in the bathroom. Don't rush and don't strain. Nature will take its course!! Gas is a good sign as it means things are working. I am not sure how long you had your bag but from my experience I would recommend introducing fibre back in to your bowel slowly. I had my bag for over a year and I had to almost teach myself how to go again. Also my bowel shape where it was rejoined made it a stage sensation to empty. However I soon got used to it. Don't be surprised if you get a bit of constipation too. Your system needs time to come back online. I had a slight complication with my rectum freezing but this isn't common so try not to worry. Take care and I hope your recovery is easy. Any questions please don't hesitate to message me.
