Had a break down with my manager today, he suggested I take some time off and shouldn't be at work if I'm in this much pain, problem being I can't take strong painkillers at work which is what I need. I went straight to the docs and been signed off for two weeks, waiting to see occupational health now to see how else I can be supported at work, I already have amended duties as it is😫😫
My lap isn't until end of April and this is all I'm waiting for!
Sorry for the negative post, just needed somewhere to vent and rant, my partner is amazing but I think he also is getting a bit fed up of me!

if your manager has told you to take some time off then try not to worry,
you don't wanna over do things and make yourself worse,
listen to your body and take some rest,
try speaking to the gp and telling them u can't wait any longer for the lap, that's what I did as I couldn't cope and they forwarded it for me a lot sooner,
Hi Shaw I did tell my GP this today and requested they write a letter to my gynaecologist although they had not yet received letter from the hospital about the lap so got to wait before they can do this, I have contacted the hospital again this week and will continue trying.
Daisy I can't take strong painkillers at work they make me drowsy and I work in the community so I can't drive either x
Hi TeaQueen, thank you so much for your reply, so you have the annoying worm friend too? Hahah!! Audio books sounds like a good idea, I will try my best to get some rest and hassle the hospital in the mean time! At least I can take stronger pills whilst I'm at home. Thank you for your kind words xx
I was in exactly the same situation beginning of the year waiting for my lap in March. The hospital doesn't always know you have been signed off. So i called them and said I'm off and if they have any cancellations to call me ( after all I was only at home doing nothing in pain). I got a call and my op got brought forward six weeks. Worth a try xxx
It sounds like your manager is at least trying to help and support you which is good. Horrible for you that you're in so much pain. Ring the hospital and keep chasing them to get your appointment brought forward - I know it's hard to be that strong and persistent when you're not feeling your best. Keeping on with that level of strong painkillers is not nice either. All the best and I hope you get it sorted out. xx
I hear u, I have out burst at home, but It's my 14 yrs old putting up with my impatientness !!! And I don't have a husband to drive crazy, yet. Lol and work thank God it's not to busy & I have quite moments. I take pain med's unfortunately, but it helps. Had apt with obgyn yesterday he's pretty much telling me to move on, looks like I'll have to try another one I've gone through a few and the 2nd hyst, Doc did a mistake of some kind "I know that I know"!! I think I'll be going back to him, get to the bottom of this. Cain't do this with out God!
