Asthma and a cold for 3weeks...

Hi all, I've suffered from asthma for 14 years. I'm 27 now. I recently went on holiday on the 4th of jan. However, 2 days in I developed a sore throat, caughing up green stuff and a runny nose. This lasted the whole 2 weeks of the holiday. When I got home I still had slight symptoms. But yesterday things took a turn for the worst! Headache, coughing up green stuff again, dizziness, blocked nose and runny nose and a wheezing chest.

It says online not to go to your doctor with the could as it can be treated at home. But someone told me as I have asthma it could be dengerous. I don't know what to do.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't have asthma but I did have some kind of viral infection like the one you are discribing for about 3 weeks and it's only just gone , they wouldn't give me anything they said to take ibuprofen and sent me home, as you have asthma I would visit your GP just to be on the safe side , I think there is a lot of viral infections going round at the moment, a visit to the GP won't do any harm x
