I have no idea if this is even related to endo but I might as well ask.
I am in the process of a diagnosis and along with my chronic pelvic pain and other uncomfortable symptoms, I have had a sore throat for about 3 or 4 weeks now and it is getting worse no matter how many throat lozenges I have. I also have had a sore tenderness under my left armpit a bit before my throat started to get sore. Originally I thought it was my glands and I might just be getting a cold but it started not long after a major pelvic pain and symptoms flare up that has become debilitating.
I'm only asking about the sore throat because its getting worse and I haven't had any other cold/flu symptoms like runny or blocked nose, fever etc.

Sounds like you could you just be run down because of the pain. I used to get tonsillitis all the time when I was a kid and into my late 20s. The lumps under your arm sound familiar, I used to get those with bad tonsillitis and I had them really bad with glandular fever. All those issues stopped when I cut out gluten so it could be an autoimmune response. Some people believe that endometriosis acts like an autoimmune condition so there may be something in that. To help with the sore throat, I used to use Tyrozet lozenges, they're available OTC but you have to ask at the counter for them. Hope you feel better and get some answers soon x
I used to get tonsilitis all the time as a kid too but I had a tonsillectomy so it wouldnt be that. And I also had a bad case of glandular fever in my early 20s (I'm 30 now) so I don't know if it's possible to get it again if the first one was bad? My neck glands arent swollen so not sure. Maybe I am run down or it could be food related because i have become sensitive to some food since my pain and other symptoms got worse. But i don't know why my armpits glands hurt though. Thanks for the lozenge recommendation.
Hi it could be after surgery if you've had any just before the sore throat when they put you to sleep they insert a tube down your throat to help you breathe which can cause this but that should only last a couple days . It also could be a symptom of an infection. I suggest going to Dr get it checked I had tonsilitus a couple times recently before I was diagnosed with endo but with tonsilitus normally your ears hurt inside as well and throat glands may swell too and you would cough up mucus.
Either way you need to go Drs and get it diagnosed as no it's not a symptom that I've ever heard of endometriosis itself.
No i havent had surgery yet. It wouldn't be tonsilitis either because I had a tonsillectomy when I was a kid. I know that surely by now if it is a cold virus I would be getting other symptoms like coughing, etc so I don't know.
I wa at the doctor the other week but I didn't mention it because I thought it was just a sore throat from not drinking enough water or was just coming down with a simple cold but my throat has gotten worse. I haven't had a diagnostic lap yet so I hope my throat gets better before then.
That's interesting. I have been diagnosed with endo since I posted this and my throat has improved since the lap surgery 3 months ago. But I have noticed I still tend to get the occasional sore throat around hormonal times when I still get pain flare ups but i can't be sure what it is. But my throat is a lot better since the op! Now I just use lozenges and pay attention to what I eat and how much water I drink.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has any experience of this? I seem to get sore throats with ulcers, redness and white stuff most months when I get my period. This month when I’ve had my period I’ve struggled massively with fatigue, a low grade fever, sore back and ribs but no pelvic pain. Could this just be an immune system response?
