Ovulation calculator?

Hi ladies

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good online ovulation calculator? I've tried a few but the least amount of days between periods you can pick is 20. My days between was 17 last month

Hi, this will be the case as 'normal' periods are between 21 and I think 42 days. If your periods are regularly this short it is worth talking to your doctor as it may indicate that you aren't ovulating and that is why they are so short. There is a test they can do to check where they do a blood test on day 1 and day 20 of your cycle. I don't say this to scare you - I was having shorter than my usual periods (19-22 days) for months but I was still ovulating.

Seperately, I do not believe in ovulation indicators/tests/apps. They can only indicate when you could ovulate, they can't confirm that you have. Plus they put unnecessary stress on you. Just have sex when you want to and enjoy it (I know it's hard sometimes when you have endo). Your body is more in tune with when you should have sex than you think. You don't want sex to be a chore or something you do 3 days a month just to have a baby. Though I know most people do this nowadays.

Speak to your GP to be safe. I'm sure it's fine. If it's not there are tablets they can prescribe. Best wishes xxx

Hi endopains

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I'm not trying for a baby. I'm on the coil just wondered if the pain I'm having is ovulation pain rather than bowel pain or a reaction to wheat I ate at the weekend. Last time my periods were short (19 days) was before my 1st lap. I'm at my GP tomorrow for something different to will have a chat with her about it. xx

Hiya, I use a app from Google play called period calendar/tracker (symbol is a pink book with flower on it). I worked that pain I was having was linked to my ovulation through using the app so it's a useful tool.

Monthly cycle is a really good tracking app. Tells u when u are due on and ovulating. Also gives u space to write your symptoms down too.

Hi

I've been using an App on my mobile called: MyDays It looks like a flower (petals) but will allow you to record dates for everything and suggest ovulation days etc. Even though I'm now looking to start IVF it has been so helpful with trying to record days for pain, tablets, apts. and everything else. I'm not sure if you can use this on a computer, or whether it's any good for you, but someone recommended it for me.

It was on: Googleplay and it's free.
