Hey everyone, happy new year. Just a quick question, I've been on zoladex injections and add back now for 9 months, so far it has been brilliant for me, however the last 3 months I have started to have small red marks when I go to the loo, and slight stomach ache. Is this ok or does it mean the injections aren't working. Thanks.

Zoladex
Hi Jo. I was on Zoladex but only for 6 months and without the add back so must admit I didn't experience the symtoms you describe. How long do you plan to be on it for? As I thought it was only a short term solution. I've just had my last lap beginning of December and have now had a Mirena fitted so will see how it goes. Not much help, sorry, hope you find the answer you're looking for x
Hi, I can offer my advice to you as I am on zoladex plus HRT and have been now since my last lap as mine grows back before I have healed from the surgery! This was 14 months ago! I have the odd spotting and stomach cramps mimicking a very very mild period but this is most likely the HRT! It's about getting the dose right to keep the symptoms at bay! I have discussed with my specialist about I take the low dose HRT and only take them every other day! This now controls things perfectly for me and it's the longest I've been pain free for over 15 years! I'm 30 with no children, have the coil in too which was replaced during surgery as a 'backup' it was also my first line treatment 15 years ago! X
Hi
I've recently finished my course of Zoladex and throughout the 6 months I continued to bleed each month. Zoladex doesn't work for everyone and sadly I was one that it didn't fully work for. I was on HRT too.
I have now been put on a mini and an still bleeding!! If you have any concerns though ring or go back to your consultant for more information.
All the best x
Hi
I was really interested to read your reply to this post. I have been on decapeptyl for 7months with add back. After the initial flare my endo pain rally settled down which was brilliant after 10 years, 6 laps, removal of left ovary and discovery of ovarian remnant syndrome during one of 4 failed IVF attempts! However for the last month or so I have been getting a lot of pain again and am stressing about why when I am still on the decapeptyl so maybe that doesn't work for everyone either? All so disappointing. Think I will try and bring forward the next appt with my Consultant. When I last saw him he said that he may refer me to a specialist in Oxford but he didn't mention his name. Hopefully he has a magic wand and permanent solution .......
Wishing everybody all the best for 2015 x
I have had 2 laps and am waiting for a third op as its severe. I'm having 3rd zoladex injection and hrt -livial on Wednesday. I had a period on 1st lot but didn't on this last lot. I have had spotting though. I've been told I can only be on it for 6 months. My surgeon is speaking to a specialist as I'm covered in nodules. 1" in diameter each. The bowel is stuck to my womb i might have to have a stoma. Fingers crossed and I've had 3 cysts removed 2 chocolate 9" diam and a benign one 3".
Speak to get doctor if you're worried x mine does telephone appointments if needed x
Thank you so much for the advice. I had a lap November 2013, found out I had stage 4 on my womb and bowel. Consultant put me on zoladex for 6 months, then I went back after that, he said as long as I have bone density tests every 6 months to check the zoladex isn't effecting my bones then I can stay on it as it works so well. So I have no idea how long he's planning to keep me on it for. Xx
