Was having Zoladex injections for 6 months and things were great - I know for some that this is not the case but for me it worked that was until they finished and I was back to square one, all the pain, days off work, feeling sick with the pain and generally not having a life.- Been to see my consultant today and he has prescribed another 6 months of these injections - to me I dont mind as it works for me but I cant help but feel that he is hoping I will go through the menopause naturally due to me age (49) so he does not have to operate - anyone else been in the same boat?

i had zoladex for many years all though my reading of psa started 378 grade 9 5+4 ,there is diebesterol sorry re spelling, this can and was added to my treatment it worked but also had clexane injections because of blood clots ,this stops any ,I have had much radiotherapy to effected bones ,all ways reduce pain after the radiotherapy kicks in ,other than chemo which i have refused, there are other new expensive drugs available like abiraterone, that is another option worked on me for 8 months ,now awaiting another new to the market drug, under govt drug fund, just keep fighting the disease is the best advice and push for treatment

Hi, i'm have been on Zoladex for 4 months now, will be going back to see my consultant in October after the 6 months. I have been stumped at what he is going to say as i have read up that you can only be on the injections for 6 months in the whole of your lifetime. Is this not true? As i have found it much better for pain relief. Thanks xx

I also thought you could have them for only 6 months. My consultant has said he will give them for another 6 months but that will be it and then I will have to have surgery.

Hi Foosey,

I have been diagnosed with endo since 2002, I was put on zoldex and had 9 months worse, yes it did worry me a little as I was concerned about the 6 month line and I did have trouble conceiving afterwards but now I've got two gorgeous babies. I think my endo has returned but I'm just going to see how it goes. I wish you luck with your treatment.
