Changing from levonorgestrel to the mini pill?

Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone on here is taking the mini pill to stop periods and how they're getting on with it? I used to take levonorgestrel back to back but after telling my doctor I was suffering with mirgraines for the past couple of weeks, she wouldn't prescribe me with any more due to the estrogen in the pill raising the risk of blood clots/stroke. I've relied on levonorgestrel since March and has never caused me any problems up until now. A bit wary about the mini pill after reading stories on different websites but petrified of going another day not taking any pills whatsoever in fear of having a period and ending up back in A&E. Thanks, Lucy
