Levonorgestrel

Which was: Ethinylestradiol 30 microgram / Levonorgestrel 150 microgram prescribed for 6 months by the looks of things. I am trying to find the guidelines on add-back therapies in the NICE Guidelines for Endometriosis, but it does not go into specifics at all in regards to the add-back.

I now realise that one of the active ingredients in Rigevidon is levonorgestrel, the same as the Mirena coil. I have gone from being absolutely fine right back to having the darkest thoughts, not wanting to leave the house, being unable to cope etc.

Apparently Kyleena has a lower dose of the hormone Levonorgestrel than Mirena, perhaps this might be the reason? Millie. Age 27, Based in Manchester Treatment: Mirena from 2014-19, Kyleena 2019-present

Just been prescribed this mini pill & wondering if anyone has any experiences on it?

Hi, Is there anyone trying Mirena (levonorgestrel) and mini pill Cerazette (desogestrel) together? I have endometriosis (stage IV), and it floored me, and left me in so much pain last month that I couldn't think or talk. I had two trips to the A&E by ambulance.

So I was moved off of maexeni to ridgivedon by my dr as it’s cheaper I believe, it says it’s the same ingredients as maexeni (0.03 mg ethinylestradiol and 0.15 mg levonorgestrel) So am I right in thinking it will be the exact same as before?

These androgenic types are as follows, norgestrel, norethisterone, and levonorgestrel they are androgenic and can cause hair loss. I will add a link for those of us that are suffering. The link includes several labs that can confirm the condition and rule of the thyroid link.

I have Maexeni (Ethinylestradiol, Levonorgestrel). I have to take this on the first day of my period. I've not taken the pill before so don't really know how quick it acts.

Does anyone know how the hormonal side of the Mirena works in terms of longevity. ie Should I expect any side effects when this is replaced as the level of levonorgestrel has lessened over the 6 years and therefore I will receive a greater amount in the IUD when its put back in?

Looking at the hormone levels of both, evra had 200 micrograms of norelgestromin and 33.9 micrograms ethinylestradiol per day and logynon is triphasic and eventually increases so starts with 50 micrograms of levonorgestrel and 30 micrograms of ethinylestradiol.

It contains Levonorgestrel (the same as the Mirena coil). I have read it can cause headaches, Acne/skin reactions and weight gain, irregular periods/heavy periods - has anyone experienced this?

Hey guys I’m on the maexeni combined pill levonorgestrel/Ethinylestradiol 150/30 and have so far taken 2 21 day packs together but really need to take a 3rd. I have friends that always take 3 packs together then have a period. Would it be okay to do so in this instance?

Then she changed another one which is RIGEVIDON® levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol 21 days pill and 1 week off pill. I am trying this tablet for 11 days but still the bleeding has not been stopped since then.

Lo-Estrin 20 has lower levels of oestrogen and a different progestogen than what’s in the Mirena (Levonorgestrel).

Are there any other pills available in the UK that have 100/20 mg Levonorgestrel/Ethinylestradiol please? Thanks

Anyone tried Norgeston (Levonorgestrel) for Endo/Pelvic pains?? I really want my periods to stop but my body is so sensitive to hormones!!

I have had the mirena levonorgestrel IUD for over a year now which was put in during my last surgery to remove endometriosis and I've been experiencing certain symptoms which I can't narrow down and neither can the doctors despite having tests. The symptoms I've been experiencing are....

I have been taking Rigevidon for a while now, and I've spoken to my doctor and will be switching to Gedarel, both are 21 day pills, Rigevidon is levonorgestrel/ ethinylestradiol and gedarel is ethinylestradiol/ desogestrel.
