I am 26 in December and so broody. My ten month pro stap injections finish in Jan and I think I should start trying for a baby. I've always wanted a baby in my late 20s I don't want to be in my 30s. Any thought xxx

Hey,

Have you gone into the menopause with the injections.

Not sure what guidance you have been given but the manufacturers suggest four months after stopping the injections before trying to conceive as it may effect the developing foetus with deformities. However lots of fertility clinics do use these drugs to help women get pregnant but I don't know enough about these controlled situations under expert guidance.

It will depend largely on when your periods return too. I got stuck in the menopause for 16 months after Zoladex. I found out my tubes were blocked, so if your periods don't return I recommend asking for a dye test to check for this as no one recommended it to me.

Sorry to bring you this news, I thought its important you are told as doesn't sound like your dr has told you and it may influence if you have another injection or not.

I'm not a dr so please ask their advice as they will understand your case much better than me.

Wishing you lots of luckxxx
