Gas under my diaphragm. : Hi. I had my... - Endometriosis UK
Gas under my diaphragm.
Fart and burb the gas out at every available opportunity - don't hold back out of being polite - the quicker you get that gas out the better.
Do not add to the problem by drinking any fizz drinks at all, or eating the known gassy foods like green leaf veges cabbage, sprouts etc, baked beans and so on.
Do try windeze tablets from the chemists - or peppermint tea or peppermints in general.
You can stop it getting worse by taking on board more gas, and you can take pain killers and drinking extra water and keeping s active s you can manage to be. Regular pottering around the house will get the bowels moving and speed up the gas trying to get out.
Can't think of anything else to add at the moment - best of luck for a speedy recovery.
If u can stomach it have peppermint tea, really helped me and make sure when I can walk around the house a bit as seems to ease it. I had my lap done last Thursday and that help relieve my pain from gas.
Xx
Thank you to the both of you for replying. I just want to be better and get on with my life now. I appreciate you taking the time out to help me x
my doctor advised me to drink a lot of fizzy drinks to help burp the gas
Children's gripe water - a god send and really helped me when my first surgeon decided he didn't have time to allow most of the gas to come out so stitched me back up!!
Please can you help me im scared. 4 days after lap ive started to spot. My stomach is killing me. Is this normal? I had no bleeding until now. Feel stomach is bloating out stitches are pulling even more.
