Hi there,

Does anyone have endometriosis of their diaphragm? I have been getting awful pains in my right rib area and am worried it could be endo. Was wondering what the symptoms are??

Thank you.

I have endo on my diaphragm, however I don't have any pain in that area. I just found out it was there when I had surgery for the endo in other areas.

I also had endo on my diaphragm but did not have any pain. But I had difficulties to breathe. I coudn't run, for example. After the excision operation I woke up like a new person and could run and do physical activities.

Now, 15 years later I have a lot of pain under my left rib cage. Maybe that is endo back with pain? I will know after the operation in August.

Oh wow that sounds awful. I'm so sorry to hear you might have it back. Did you have endo elsewhere too? How was it discovered?

Yes, I have stage 4 again, which shows on MRI scans and I have a lot of pain. Inside is probably stage 5 (LOL). But my breathing is OK this time, which is very good.

Aww I really wish you all the best. Have you coughed up blood before? This is happening to me and I'm not sure if it's a symptom.

No, I never coughed blood. Maybe you have endometriosis in your lungs? Have you been checked with MRI and CT scans for that?

Hi MinnieMinnie,

Hope you are doing fine. I know this is an old thread, but i would be very grateful if you could tell me about your diaphragm surgery if it resolved your symptoms at least for a while? Did you need artificial respiration after it?

Thank you very much! Hope you are having some pain free days x

(sorry for my English :) )

Dear Judit, after the operation I was feeling very well. I could breathe normally as soon I started walking after the operation. I was so happy. The operation was done by one of the best specialists in UK then, so I was in a good hands. I did not need any artificial respiration. But pain after 15 years turned out to be gluten sensitivity. I stopped eating gluten and I have no pain anymore. I wish you health!
