Fed up after returning pain.

Hi, I'm new to this site and forum and I guess I'm just interested in seeing now others are coping with endometriosis. I also wanted to see if anyone else was having similar problems to me. I have been suffering with endometriosis on and off for about 3 years. I had a laparoscopy where they found and removed endometriosis however at Easter this year the pains in my abdomen and lower back came back with vengeance. I was taking the mini pill and after a trip to the consultant I was taken off this and given the depo provera injection. This took a few weeks to take effect and for a few weeks following this I was pain free and elated that finally something had worked however this last week (unfortuantly during my last week of my holiday in tenerife!) my pains all started to come back and now I am in daily agony, particularly with lower back pain that is also linked to problems I am having with my sacroiliac joints. The consultant did say at my last appointment that if the injection didn't work then it would be forced menopause and if that didn't work then a hysterectomy. I am feeling so down at the moment and really quite scared and worried about this prospect. I already take antidepressants to treat anxiety so I am really worried how this is going to effect that. Has anyone had to be forced into the menopause? How was it? Thank you for listening, it's so nice to know people in the same boat as I think my husband is just so fed up of hearing that I'm ill again!
