Recurring cystitis

Hi everyone, i hope you ladies are having a good day. I have had recurring cystitis For the last 2 years. As soon as I have finished my course of antibiotics, after 1-2 days later my cystitis comes back and then I'm put back on the antibiotics. I don't understand why I keep getting it. I am careful with my diet, I drink plenty of water and have 2 glasses of cranberry juice. Do any of you ladies suffer from recurring cystitis? I hate the burning, stabbing pains. I can't go out, I can't eat anything. I had a bladder op in June, where the doc burned the cystitis inside my bladder, I'm still recovering from that op. I must have had 1 week after my op when I felt normal, no pains I was feeling great for the first time. But now I'm in pain everyday, antibiotics work, but when I finish the taking them it starts all over again. I don't know what to do,can someone please help me as this is ruining my life and can't enjoy my time with my kids and hubby.

Thank you, big hugsxx

Sweety.

A very common problem - have a read of what I wrote a few months ago on the subject of biofilm as it will explain why this is happening and it is so hard to get rid of.

and healthunlocked.com/endometr...

There is only one way to solve it - keep fighting, keep getting the next anti-biobiotic and taking it as prescribed (regardless of the side effects - and sometimes they can make you very unwell in other ways) and eventually fingers crossed you will find the magic bullet to kill the master bugs off.

My last UTI took up May and June of this year doing exactly that, back to GP time and again for a different antibiotic. All worked while i was taking them to kill off the children bugs and reduced the pain and urgency to pee, but they didn't kill off the master bugs, so no sooner was I finished with the course nd the bladder was clear of antibiotics than the master bugs came out from hiding and created millions of children bugs again.

If you cannot find an anti-biotic to actually kill off the master bugs, then you can use them to keep killing off the children bugs at least it will improve your day to day toilet trips in terms of painful and urgent need to go pee.

I wish you the very best of luck in finding the antibiotic that does kill off the master bugs, it may take dozens of attempts before you strike gold but don't give up, and don't feel bad about heading back to your GP. They are certainly well aware of drug resistance especially in relation to bladder infection.

Hi Impatient,

Thank you for replying back to me. It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem.

I will be going back to my GP to try different antibiotics. I'm taking Trimethoprim at the moment, not sure if they are working it's only been 3 days.

Hello.

My best friend went through exactly the same thing as you. She was then diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. I am not saying this is what you have, but it may be with you having a look at the following website and maybe mentioning the condition to your GP.

Best wishes,

Hi Barbara, thank you for the website and yes I do I have interstitial cystitis. It's so painful I hate it. I am seeing my GP on Monday morning hopefully he can sort this out for me and give me the right antibiotics. I'm having trouble coping with the pains.

Hi, I have quite bad bladder endometriosis and have had lots of problems with recurring cystitis. Some ladies on here spoke if a natural remedy called Waterfall D-mannose which they have seen success with.

I've been using it for a couple of months, I'm due another operation in December to excise endometriosis from my bladder and other areas so until then its tricky to tell what's working but I have noticed some improvements in pain.

Have a look at this website for more info sweet-cures.com

I hope you find some relief soon

Hi Tina23, thank you so much for sending the website to me, it was really helpful. I live in the UK and my GP said he hasn't heard of waterfall D-mannose. I might have to buy it online. I'm willing to try anything for these pains stop, it's making my life hell
