Had my op!

Had my laparoscopy today, they found endo. Just wondering what's the recovery time (roughly) and what's normal/what isn't. I was pretty drugged up and drowsy when they told me and can only remember odd bits. Thank you for replies in advance xx

I was told two weeks after my lap but it really depends on what they did and your health. Unfortunately when I was discharged my daughter got d&v, she has a fear of vomit so those first few days afterwards were far from relaxing for me! I have seen people on here go back to work within a few days but I really wouldn't rush it - you'll know when you are feeling up to it! Good luck x

I had my first lap to see if I had it, then I had it treated and also the removal of my implant and the coil put in. So sore and tender at the moment. My partner came down with d&v this morning so I have to stay at my mums haha. Great timing. I'm hoping recovery isn't too long, I was only given paracetamol and inbruprofen. Thank you xxx

I was signed off for two weeks but I felt fine after one. Although I did have dizzy spells from the drugs they give you when they put you to sleep like a week after (apparently it happens a lot). But for a couple of weeks I did feel it if I over did it. All depends on what you had done really, I had some endo removed but not all because they realised I was pretty serious and needed specialists.

Hope you recover well!x

I was signed off for two, then they wanted me off longer. I'm now 4 weeks post op and just returned to work, but phased as still suffering. Take it easu, it also depends on what job you do. Peppermint tea will help with the gas. Get well soon.
