Just a little update and a thank you for the advice I've received.

Just a little update, since the last post I've had more hell from the GP which has lead to a formal complaint and transferring to a different GP. On a mixture of pills to dampen the pain and having to reduce hours in work. Seen the specialist who has agreed to do the TPPE surgery (and a diagnostic laparoscopy which seems a little strange as I've already been diagnosed?), and the specialist has fought my case with the insurance company who have agreed to fund the operations. Finally beginning to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel! Know I'm still fairly new to this forum but wanted to say thank you to everyone who has provided advice and support and I hope you all have a pain free (as possible) weekend.
