Just seen consultant and surgery is booked to check for endo

I am looking at 3 month wait for op then healing time before I can try for a baby. If I was to become Preg before op will this harm me or baby. So confused advice pls

Hello

If you fall pregnant before your laparoscopy, the surgery will be cancelled. Surgery wouldn't necessarily harm the baby but doctors only operate on pregnant ladies if it's absolutely necessary.

Most hospitals will perform a pregnancy test if there is any chance you could be pregnant.

Hi thanks or the reply I know they would cancel op. But wanted to know if not treating endo first would cause problems in pregnancy x

No it wouldn't. Being pregnant will actually help Endo as you will not be having periods.

Ok doc made me feel longer I left it worse it would get. Didn't help everything the registrar said the consultant then said opposite :(

Apparently the condition gets better after pregnancy, i wish you good look with everything.
