Post Lapraoscopy, please help

Had my lap exactly a week today thought I was feeling better and able to do a bit more but I keep having these dizzy spells where I feel very weak, sick, hot sweats and feel faint. Are these normal? I was hoping to be feeling better by now ready for work in a few days so feeling a bit frustrated

I think you need to get your blood pressure checked. Sounds low post op.

Ring your surgeon or the hospital where you had the op and tell them the situation immediately.

Make sure you are eating and drinking properly too.

It might be that you've pushed yourself too hard or not had enough fluid/food but as brownlow said, definitely get checked out! Always better to play it safe, hope you're feeling better soon x

I had that last week which was a week after my lap, strange! I was feeling completely fine and then suddenly if I moved my head the whole room would spin. Then i woke up dripping in sweat or got very hot before my head was about to spin.I got it checked out, she said that apparently it was all in my head as my blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rate and temperature were fine.I would see your go though, they might be more helpful than mine. I was told by my doctor that it can take 2-4 weeks to fully recover. Also if you went under general anaesthetic it can take a while for that to leave your body. Our natural tendency when we start feeling better is to try and do more but perhaps you may have pushed yourself a little too much.

Take it easy, you've just had a operation and you really do need to take this time to rest. That is what I keep being reminded to do, I had my second laparoscopy last week.

But definitely go and get checked out if you are worried
