If you have endo & IBS is it usually worse when on your period?

Yes !! Its awful !!

It one of the first signs im going to start my period . I get terrible gas & a popping sensation in my bowels. Going the loo is agony & i have runs. Only thing that helps abit is wheat free & diary free diet but it hasnt cured it just made things abit better !!

Are you definitely sure it is IBS?

I was told for 2-3 years that I had IBS. Went in for a lap for endo in Dec 2013, turns out the endo is affecting my bowel & I now have to have colorectal surgery. So PLEASE, I urge anyone that has been given a diagnosis of IBS when they have endo to demand to have the proper diagnostic tests done to rule out endo of the bowel

Thanks for your replies. I'm having a colonoscopy in 3 wks and then a scan before I see the consultant again. Hope they can sort this out as pain was so bad a few days ago. Trying to be good with what I eat so maybe cutting out dairy next. Just really fed up as been in pain since July.
