Hi everyone,
Does anyone else find that their endometriosis pain spikes when you ovulate? I’m at work and it’s got worse throughout the day, now dreading having to tell my manager I think I need to go home.
Thank you
Hi everyone,

Thank you
Definitely! Ovulating today and can feel the build up. Last month I only got about 2hrs sleep one night during ovulation as the pain woke me up.
That sounds horrendous. Well at least that explains it! I hope yours isn’t like last month this time.
Thanks so do I! I don't know why it was so bad last month but I'd had a bad flare up during the previous period so maybe everything was still inflamed. Hope you are managing ok.
Yea hope it will be more settled this time. Thank you, I’d been on the pill for over 10 years before I came off 2 months ago to TTC so it’s all new! But so far pain seems better off the pill than on the pill..time will tell.
Aww I see. Do you use an app to track your periods as this can predict ovulation so you can be prepared with pain killers etc?
Yes using Natural Cycles and Flo and using LH sticks! Got it all going! Stage 4 endo, they removed it all except diaphragm in March, I can tell it’s back but small. Hopefully I can make a baby before it has a party in there.
Mine was actually worse when ovulating than when on my period - fortunately I've had ablation and am now on the pill so don't have to experience that anymore! I think it was because I had some endo lesions on one of my ovaries/fallopian tubes.
I also get it worst at ovulation time and also my mood is hugely affected feel in despair and very depressive during that time and body swells up like a balloon! I had removal surgery 9 months ago, just started the pill hoping it will help with some of this.
Hope you are feeling better now, if you find anything that works for you let me know
Always wise to have a stash of painkillers to hand and heat pads also sooth a bit.
Omg yes. I feel sick and swollen and like i dont want to be touched. Then I get a sharp pain on and off for 10 mins. But around ovulation time I always feel awful and my skin goes bad and it's like all the symptoms are magnified.
Yes! Mines has always been so much worse during ovulation. I’m always able to tell which side I am ovulating from too. I feel so swollen and the pain is horrendous. To the point where even going over speed bumps hurts.
Hope you are feeling better today.
Thank you everyone, that’s really helpful to know. Maybe it’s the oestrogen surge and all that comes with it that does it. Definitely affects the mood for me too. Sending everyone positive healing vibes 💛
Yes, I have had it for years to the point of being unable to stand up, walk. It was always on the left side, so I could only lay down on the left side for 3 hours with a hot water bottle and watching a film if I wasn't too tired as, often, I felt completely drained. Watching a film distracts from the pain.
Me too! So reassuring reading this post, I always thought this was really strange but sounds like ovulation endo pain is part of the course!
I tend to get chocolate cycts on my ovaries and found out recently my right ovary is is stuck to my uterus so wonder if that's why ovualtion pain is particularly bad?
I hope your pain subsides a bit soon ( at least for this month..) xx
