Had my first experience of the uncaring doctor yesterday.......

Hi ladies.

I realise until yesterday I have been spoilt as my gp is amazing. So far this month I've been bleeding more often than not, which causes the pain to become unbearable. Yesterday was so bad hubby dragged me off to minor injuries unit where I have been twice before and had excellent care. Although yesterday I saw a different doctor who was totally uncaring and just wanted rid of us. He said to us what is your nearest hospital other than this which I replied York. He then said if this should happen again either go to York or see your gp. He then asked me what I had taken pain killer wise. I answered tramadol, diclofenic and codeine and I'm still in agony. He then felt my stomach, which felt like he was trying to assess my spine!! Then he said well tablets can take 8 hours to get into your system so I could give you an injection which acts quicker but just go home and keep taking your tablets. We were gob smacked. He really made me feel a fraud. So I ended up bent over and limping out as I had coming in.

I really wish the medical profession would take all of us seriously.

Sorry for the rant just so taken aback.

Grr doctors like that make me so angry! I'm sorry to hear that you have also had a negative experience with an uncaring doctor. Some of them are so nice, but others seem to lack empathy completely, and they could help, but often seem to choose not to which is so frustrating. How is your pain now?

It's still bad but I've made an appointment with my gp. At least he is good and caring! hope your well hun x
