Anyone know how to ease endo pain when sitting at a desk? I am much worse when I am at work due to sitting upright.

Painkillers don't help, I wondered if some kind of cushion might be useful, any suggestions?

Have you tried heat/cold packs-discreetly stuffed down stretchy skirt/trousers. Some ladies find cold works better than heat,in which case cold sprays or gels are good if away from home.Tens machine -can be bought cheaply from chemists. You can also get a mini one for period pain, which is very neat but I found it didn't give me enough pain relief. If like me you get nerve type pain from sittingsometimes a soft pillow under buttock can help, but it may make it worse.Feel for you having to work through such pain.Sending you hug and hope you get some more good advice/tips/

Thanks for your reply. I use heat packs at home when it get really bad but not thought about taking them to work, they don't always help but it might be worth a try. I find I have to stand up a lot which is a nuisance so thought if I could get something that tilts my pelvis forward it might help. As you say, it might make it worse so I didn't want to spend any money on special cushions unless someone could recommend something.

Will def try a small heat pack though. Cheers :)

Hey there

my boss suggested I buy a leg rest. He let me use the company card to buy the adjustable rest from amazon. Some days my foot rest is all I need but other days I find putting my legs up really helps too :)

I found that a rolled up towel put into the chair at the base of my spine helped and getting up now and then and stretching helped, i also go for a back massage now and then it seems to help whrn ive been sat for a long time xc

Hello, I suffer from hip pain which is mainly bought on by bending & sitting. I have a memory form cushion for my office chair but to be honest it doesn't really stop or reduce the amount of pain I experience. Hope you find something that helps. Pls let me know if you do.

Thanks for the response, I kinda suspected that was the case, I haven't found much helps. Standing up or lying stretched out is not as painful but bending at the waist is awful. I might be able to negotiate working shorter days for a while, I think that might be my only solution. I will try a few of these ideas first though.

I'm currently under the pain clinic who have prescribed me Pregabalin. Not sure of spelling. It does take the edge off but if I exercise, bending a lot, am ovulating or on my period I still have pain. Apparently it only works in 2 out of 5 cases. It might work for you. I'm back at the pain clinic at the end of the mth, so will discuss further options.
