Hi Gracelove 21

Swelling in the abdomen comes with endo. When my endo acts up I look as though I am several months pregnant, so this is normal when it comes to endo

Normal with Endo especially if your gut is involved. I found duloxetine for the chronic pain left after multiple surgeries has also reduced the swelling if that helps. X

This is good to know I am just starting Duloxetin for pain and depression. :0(

I get it too and it's horrific. I look really pregnant but it happens at night mostly. It also gives me chest pain and quite bad wind. I had a lap 2 years ago and it stopped happening but has started again in the past few months. The 'specialist' said the endo wouldn't cause chest pain but the fact it stopped straight after the lap suggests otherwise x

I have been having chest pain as well and have no idea where it has been going from nor why it has been happening. i also look very pregnant even though I am not and its very painful at night to the point I loose sleep. I am considering getting surgery, thanks for your help!

I get this too, how us ladies cope with this debilitating health issue I'll never know but we do. Keep strong ladies.

I've had endo in the past but had it removed last year, however I also have adenomyosis and my stomach is huge! In fact my daughter was sure I was having another baby. Mine also gets worse at night but swells in the day too. I'm having a hysterectomy in 4 weeks and am hoping that my stomach looks less like a pregnant woman's!

Good luck with hysterectomy - it must be coming up. Thinking about you and hoping that it will make you a new woman! I'm going on the waiting list today!:) xxx

Thank you Charlie chocolate - so thoughtful of you to send that message! I had my hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and although am obviously uncomfortable my endo/adeno pain has gone, as has the leg/hip pain. My swelling has stopped as well, although i'm obviously still a bit swollen from the op still but it it not as extreme as it used to be when the endo/adeno pain was as it's worst! Good luck with your op. I found the HysterSisters website invaluable and helps answer a lot of questions. Take care x

Hi grace I'm 23 and was diagnosed last year. I get really bad swelling to the point all I want to do is put a pin in me lol I've found that exercise helps massively! I find it uncomfortable to exercise but it's worth it for how I feel the next day! Hope this helps x
