Don't know how much more endo pain I can cope with.

Hi,

I'm coming to the point in my life that I can't cope emotionally or physically with these endo pains. My operation was meant to be in June but found out today that it's been pushed to August now. I can feel my right ovary stuck to my bladder and bowels. My whole body hurts so much, I feel like I'm going crazy with pain.

I feel like I'm going crazy too! My first laparoscopy is in August! Have you had one yet? X

Hi acooke12,

I will be having my 7th operation in August. It never ends

Good luck with your operation in August.

Hi Sweetyassi,

Will the operations just continue? Surely there are other operations rather than just continuous operations? Mentally I am struggling to cope already.

Thanks

Hi acooke12,

Everyone is different, some women after having one operation are fine and have no more problems. I'm however a difficult case, once endo is removed it comes back a few weeks later. No painkillers work for me. I'm struggling with depression and anxiety and sleeping disorder I have high stress levels. You're not alone struggling with this so many women are struggling along with you.

Do you have support at home? Anyone to talk to?

Hi Sweetyassi,

I have depression because of it, but I also have a very stressful job which aren't accepting my illness and they don't think I am physically fit for the job. My fiancé is great but because it's 'invisible' others don't see why I'm so poorly some days. I am considering leaving my job but I think then I am giving up x

Hi acooke12,

That's the problem, because it's an invisible illness some people have trouble believing that your ill. I haven't worked in 8 years because of endo. Stress makes the pain worse. You need to try to reduce your stress levels.

Hi Sweet,

Thank you for your help. What makes it worse is the stress of trying to work out if I can afford to not work! What a viscous cycle!

Thanks xx

Hi Lou7707,

Thank you,

I might have to talk to someone on the helpline. I can't talk about it with my hubby or kids. I feel very lonely.
