Me and my husband have been trying to concieve for 6 months and so far unsucessful, i have scars and adhsions with my endo and am feeling disheartened as the months go on, I have a docs app this week to go to the next stage, I am 22 and my partner is 31 and am finding it difficult to not worry.

I know these things can take time but I am worried that my fallopian tubes are blocked aswell, has anyone else got similar experiences of this and what their next steps were?

Thanks xx

Hi there BexC,

Have you had a lap done previously to diagnose the endo? If so, did they check your tubes while you were under? If not, I would just keep enjoying trying with your husband and ask them to have a look if/when they do another lap. Although 6 months isn't very long in terms of trying to conceive, if your endo has been diagnosed I would have thought you should get a helping hand earlier than most other people. Are you monitoring your ovulation, etc?

I know it's hard not to worry - I really do sympathise as I'm currently waiting for a lap in 3 weeks time, and I keep thinking of all the terrible things they might find! My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year and I've now been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and probable endo (it looks like my left ovary is stuck to something else), but they'll know for definite after the lap.

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine, and there are lots of things they can do even if it turns out your tubes are a bit blocked. Best of luck with everything!

Thanks for this :)

Yes I had a lap done 3 years ago which confirmed endo with scars and adhesions, they didnt check my tubes as I was 18 they didnt want to mess about with it too much.

I havent started monitoring my ovulation too much at this stage as I dont want to become to obsessed with it all.

Good luck with you lap, I hope you get sorted, half the worry is not knowing what your fully dealing with.

Good Luck with it all :) xxx

Ah I thought that was probably the case - well it's good that you're seeing the doctor as the sooner things get moving the sooner you'll know what's going on! I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine :-)

Thanks for your good luck wishes - looking forward to knowing what's what, but nervous as I've never had any surgery or hospital treatment before!

Hi Bex

I have been told by several GPs that I could not conceive but fell pregnant in August, 4 months after finishing a 7 month treatment of pro stap injections. I am convinced that without the treatment I would never have conceived. It might be worth discussing treatments like pro stap etc to suppress your endo and give your system a break and see if that might improve your chances of conceiving. Best of luck and don't give up sweetie :)
