got my referal but still suffering...

I changed my GP & was finally referred, after a year of TTC & some bad bouts of pains, trips to the GP for pain management advice (all be it bad advice!) & to A&E for morphine etc. Got my appointment on the 22.10.13.

I have been using an app called fertility friend to help me track a pattern of pain, cycle & ovulation & seem to have the pain around ovulation, usually during or after but this month its early. Cant stand, sit, walk, lay down without pain, urinating hurts, Im so constipated & the pains circulate into my back legs & up my back passage with bloating. How are you meant to TTC with this much pain around the crucial and most fertile time of the month?!

I feel so fed up & down, its ruling my life & giving me anxiety as I know the pains are due at certain times & Im struggling to plan anything as I could be in pain at any time really. In the 14 years ive suffered Ive never seen this particular consultant before so Im hoping shes better than the last one who lectured me about IBS for an hour despite having pictures of endo in my notes which are about 10 inch thick of paper!

Oh how familiar your story sounds! I was also told ibs for years - not any more! I hope things get better for you. Not sure what pain killers you now take but I wont accept trying anything else other than tramadol. I went to a&e recently due to pain as the doctor would only prescribe cocodomols again and I may as well have swallowed sweets. I now make sure I have lots of tamadol ready for when they are needed. Also gluten free has helped more recently.

I have followed a gluten free diet for years & I still seem to suffer. I seem to have severe constipation around the time of month when ovulating & taking painkillers & then no problems if not the opposite when menstruating. I get prescribed tylex in boxes of 100's & oral morph when visiting A&E.xx
