Ponstan side effects.

Is anybody else having problems with Ponstan/Mefanamic Acid? I've been prescribed it for pain relief but it makes me feel extremely sick. It seems like my options are chronic pain or chronic sickness.

Other painkillers do not seem to help at all but the nausea is really getting to me. Has anybody been prescribed an alternative to Ponstan or does anybody have any ideas for stopping nausea? I have tried anti-sickness pills before but would prefer not using more pills (I'm rattling around as it is).

hi i have been on Mefanamic Acid and if you take it longer as it can cause problems for me and i had bad ingestion so i asked for Naxproxen which is another form of anti-flamactory (soz cant spell) and it was good on me and they are better to be honest but try it anyway.

With MA tabs u must take them with some food no matter how little, maybe that's y u're experiencing nausea? As for Ponstan, I can't take those as they leave me with terrible constipation, as do Tramadol, which is a shame as they're pretty gd painkillers so I use Temgesic instead which r v strong n leave me zombified ALL day but without the constipation. Sadly, i've tried a lot of painkillers n most of them do have unwanted side effects- it's a question of trial n error. I'm sorry if I haven't bn of more use x

Ponstan made me violently sick. I tend to stick to codeine type painkillers.
