Yes positivity played as huge roll, and i had a great support group which I still do. I think I’m just more scared this time as it seems to be back bigger. But I’m strong. I’ll beat this, just may take a while! Thank you for reaching out. So sweet

I have he same cancer. It was discovered in my kidney in 2017. A tumor on kidney. I had kidney removed. It was studied and labelled a stage 1, grade 1 tumor. I was told I only had a 3% chance the cancer would return. In April of this year it was found it was back. In my bones. It ate two vertebrae in my spine almost completely (I felt no pain), a large tumor in leg (no pain) and 4 small tumors in pelvis (had pain which led me to the doctor and ultimate discover. RCC once spread has very limited treatment options and NONE of them are a cure. I had a spinal fusion operation (remains of vertebrae remove and replaced with metal braces), a hip replacement (to get tumor out of leg), and two rounds of radiation. I am schedule this very day to begin getting a medication called Keytruda to slow (but not eliminate) the spread and growth of remaining tumors. Keytruda was just approved this year for such treatment. I have done my best to not let this take away my mind, and my usual life as long as it remains. So I have some understanding of what you have already faced repeatedly. You do not say where the RCC is. If in your kidney, can it be removed (the kidney). It if has spread, to where? Best of luck.
