Hi My name is Ahmad 27 years ,I am new here , i am glad i found this community that i have been looking for something just like,

in Nov 2018 i tried a blood pressure machine that was in my house without any symptoms, i was shocked that it was 200/125, i went to hospital and creatinine level was 3.04 after controlling the blood pressure the creatinine level decline to in between 2.5-2.7, doctor confirmed that CKD after having biopsy, since that time i can not stop thinking about it, i consulted many doctors but they agreed that it is irreversible disease and after reaching stage 5 you will be under two option either dialysis or transplant.

is it possible to stay where you are without more progress, do you think there will be any cure or treatment other than options available now.

Ahmad,

Not only can you stay where you are, but you can improve your kidney health. Seventeen months ago, I had an efgr of 34.6 and a creatinine level of 1.2. Last test I had, in April, my efgr was 54.3 and creatinine 1.0. Avoid adding salt to your food and avoid eating meals that you did not prepare, using fresh foods. Limit your meat consumption. Drink lots of water. Look at previous replies on this site by pressing the round circle next to reply to... There are many wise and experienced people on this site. They helped me and they can help you. Do your own research, and finally, when you are old and looking for other options, there is one more--it is palliative care.

Hi. Of course you can think of nothing else. This is normal. And it would be stupid of me to tell you not to worry, because you will worry anyway. We all do. But I would urge you to direct some of your attention toward how to help yourself more, and a good understanding of what is wrong. You had excessive blood pressure. This obviously caused damage to the kidney. So the cause in your case was high bp. So direct all your attention to getting that under control and into normal ranges. This of course will be done with proper diet, medications, moderate exercise. Your creatinine level has already gone down by about 16%. And there is every reason to believe it may drop even further. The damage done can not be repaired, so your goal is to prevent further damage. Your doctors are talking to you about stage 5, transplant, etc.??? They of course have a better understanding as to what is wrong with your health than we do. But I wonder, are they telling you this is your prognosis, or just answering your question as to worse case scenario. You did not say how recent your testing was. So wait until next test (assuming you are getting tested every 3 to 4 months). (Waiting is the hard part). See if you improve more. Will you ever reach what they call the "normal" range? No. You have done damage by the high bp. But that is not your goal. Your goal is to get your levels to maintain or even slightly improve.

Hi, regarding the BP i take med and stay in law salt. i hope i can get creatinine lower and lower, regarding my doctor and his answer about the option available for stage 5, i asked him always what option will be available as i did know nothing about CKD before, so it was hard to believe that there is no cure for kidney, in my first visit to doctor after biopsy he told me that it too late for any cure he thinks that it starts before 3 years at least, and here where i start to ask question like what option do i have what do you mean by to late for cure.

as i am a person who works and interested in technologies it was so hard to believe the truth that we are in the same stage since 70,s and 80's, we discover the disease and wait the end stage then offer transplant or dialysis.
