Hi there, how is everyone doing? My blood pressure is below 200 for the 1st time in more than a year. I am really happy about the improvement but unfortunately I have to go for dialysis as my numbers for creatinine, Grf, etc are skyrocketing and my kidneys are failing according to my doctor. Anyways, I refused to be admitted at hospital for dialysis preparation. I hope everybody is doing fine. Stay blessed.
Blood pressure. : Hi there, how is... - Early CKD Support
Blood pressure.
Stay blessed and strong. Hope that your numbers improve🙏All the best.
Thank you SN23, they will improve. But I am s confused anyway. I knew I was in stage 3 all along until only this week on my follow up with a new doctor when he broke new and painful news that my kidneys function is around 5% and I should be admitted in the hospital immediately!!!. I am still in a shock and feel lost.
Yes this is a steep decline. Can imagine how you feel. Could this be because of any new medication, diet, stress, dehydration, infection, illness..? Hope your review can yield any clues to the sudden change. In the meanwhile watch your diet to reduce any load on your kidneys. Praying for you, stay strong.
Thank you so much. I have actually abandoned the high blood meds a while ago because they were making no difference. My blood pressure has been going up every day as if nothing is going on, 😔. I have been trying every thing to avoid those foods with more potassium and salt. I walk a lot everyday. I just can't get get!!!, but I don't really think I am ready for dialysis at all. I am now seriously looking for alternatives. I swear I don't believe in dialysis. I strongly believe God will get out of this though I can't say how so far.
Did you get the herb I told you about? Going next week for lab and will let you know how it works. Couldn’t hurt tho
Please remind about that herb, I might have missed that important message. Thanks
It’s called Nutrakrichantak. It comes from India. Supposed to lower creatinine. Order from planet Ayurveda website. Tastes awful but I’m giving it a try
Hi there. Have not been able to find Nutrakrichantak "anywhere". Is this the right spelling (just checking...…)
Praying for a way forward for you. I am sorry that no medication has helped yet. Hope the doctors can try other combinations of medicines to lower your blood pressure.
Sharing a video that shows an alternative way to reduce blood pressure by applying clarified butter or ghee on your temple, sole etc.
Ghee is available in Whole Foods and other stores. It appears to have helped a number of people. Do please take a look: m.youtube.com/watch?v=rM905...
Of course you can run it by your doctors and try this with the medicines that work for you.
Also along with potassium and sodium you can also try food that are not phosphorus heavy. My son for example avoids dairy and red meat and eats largely plant based food and an occasional egg and some fish. This seems to have helped.
Praying that you have the strength to come out of this phase successfully and recover your health.
Praise to God. I will try this. Stay blessed.
🙏🙏
Just finished listening to the video. It looks great. I will be going to to the health sometime today and will look for Ghee/butter. Thanks one more and more time. I appreciate all of your support.
A wise person once told me DML - Dialysis Means LIFE!!!!!! Please be smart about this. After awhile your kidneys will not get rid of excess fluid, waste products they should filter out and get rid of "stuff" our bodies need. You will gain weight, your bp will increase and there is a good chance you could have a stroke!
Kidney disease is a "game." What works for one will not necessarily work for you. Please see your doctor and get on bp meds! Just because one or two haven't helped.....there are many more he could try.
I too believe in God's wisdom and through prayer you can get through a lot. But, God wants you to do everything to help yourself too!
Dialysis kept me alive until I got a fantastic deceased 16 year old donor. My donor was a 4/6 tissue match. I will be celebrating my gift of life in October.......19 years and living well!
Hello fish320, have just seen your post saying you have abandoned the high blood pressure medications you were prescribed, presumably by your former doctor, and I find this most alarming. Did you do this with the consent of your new doctor and if so did he/she not prescribe any replacement medications? Also, if he or she is advising you that you should be admitted to hospital do you not think it wise and practical to go there to find out what options you have - if you are fully informed of any choices you may have surely you will be in a better position to decide what to do to safeguard your future health? I wish you luck but would urge you to be practical in your situation - Curleytop1.
hi..i think you need to get blood pressure looked at in more detail..still seems to be at a very high level...kidneys dont survive on high blood pressure...i know that from the care i had for over 20 years....which has left me with transplant...so get more advice..even if it means a medical...take care ...
